Your social media cover photo is the first thing your potential customers see when they click on your profile. Therefore it needs to create a good first impression.
No two social media channels are the same and each require a different sized image. To help you create professional looking cover photos, here are the image requirements for five of the main social media channels:
For Facebook, you’ll need a cover image that’s 851 pixels wide x 315 pixels tall.
For Google+, you’ll need a cover image that’s 2120 pixels wide x 1192 pixels tall.
For Twitter, you’ll need an image that’s 1500 pixels wide x 500 pixels tall.
For LinkedIn, you’ll need an image that’s 646 pixels wide x 220 pixels tall.
For a YouTube Channel, you’ll need an image that’s 2560 pixels wide x 1440 pixels tall (optimized for TVs). On a desktop, the entire area covered by the largest 2560 pixels x 423 pixels rectangle will display as your channel banner.
