As we come to the end of a very busy month we thought we’d share a sample of the marketing projects we’ve been working on. This should give you a flavour of the things we can help with. We’ll be adding these marketing projects to our Portfolio in due course but for now they’re still ‘work in progress’.
We’re working with a housing association which recently converted to charitable status to refresh its brand image. Part of our brief is to also create a brand identity for its new trading subsidiary. The subsidiary will be concerned with property development in the private sector.
We’ve conducted a series of brand audit workshops with various stakeholder groups. The feedback from these sessions has enabled us to articulate the core brand values for the charity, which can now be built into the graphic design. Within our brand audit report we’ve provided suggestions on tone of voice and alternative straplines to fit with the core brand values.
We’re now working on the second stage of the project which is creating the new visual identity.
We asked our client to complete a brand naming questionnaire which gave us the necessary background information. With this information and some market research we came up with a list of potential names for the new trading subsidiary. We whittled this list down to five potential names, which we then tested via an online survey and two focus groups. We presented the three most favoured name suggestions to the Board.
We’re now awaiting final sign off on the new name and can then begin creating the new visual identity.
Launch marketing campaign
We’re helping a local electrical services company to launch its in-house software product. We put together a launch marketing campaign which includes:
- A new logo for the product to give it an identity and reflect the nature of the product
- An A4 brochure outlining the nature of the product and illustrating the benefits
- Targeted PR to the local and trade press (supplemented with a Twitter campaign)
- A direct mail campaign to 500 targeted recipients
- Telemarketing follow up to a selected group of direct mail recipients
We’re still part way through this campaign (letters went out in the post tonight!) and are confident that this mix of targeted and profile raising activity will generate initial interest in the software product and secure sales.
Ongoing marketing projects
Alongside our projects work we’ve also been keeping busy helping out our retained marketing clients. Some of the projects we have completed on their behalf this month include:
- A full new suite of marketing literature
- An award submission for the Exeter Living Business Awards
- A Facebook advertising campaign
- A monthly customer email newsletter
- An outline digital marketing plan
- An internal email newsletter
