Following a highly successful first cyber security event – Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW), in February of this year, our client Bluegrass is taking to the road this September with a free one-day refresher programme.
CSAW brought together a diverse range of expert speakers to educate South West businesses on the latest cyber security issues and show them what to do to mitigate against them. The week was very successful, and with little else available to educate businesses Bluegrass is planning several future events.
Virtually every business uses the internet to do business and market themselves, so it’s vital they take adequate measures to protect themselves from cyber crime.
The latest cyber security event will run from 26-28 September across three cities, namely Truro, Plymouth and Exeter. With a wealth of expert speakers providing practical cyber security updates and advice, this is a must attend event for all Devon and Cornwall businesses.
Included in the programme will be a presentation from lawyers at Stephens Scown on, “Why is data security important and what does GDPR mean?” The introduction of the GDPR is a key challenge for marketers who use personal data to run marketing campaigns, so we will be listening to this presentation with interest.
