Are you looking for an Exeter venue to host a party? This week, we were delighted to attend a 10th-anniversary celebration at Haldon Belvedere near Exeter. Following our visit there we would highly recommend it as a business venue.
The Haldon Belvedere (Lawrence Castle), built in 1788, at the height of the Romantic Period of the Georgian age is a beautiful iconic landmark sitting high in the hills of Haldon Forest, above Exeter. The rooftop terrace offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Devon countryside. The picture below was taken looking towards Exmouth (far right).
The venue’s most common use is for weddings, but you can also hire it for corporate events. As well as the delightful grounds and the stunning rooftop terrace, there is a beautiful room on the 1st floor which accommodates 60 people for a standing reception or 30 seated.
While we were there on probably the best evening of 2018 so were easily charmed, we think the Haldon Belvedere would make an ideal venue for a business function even on a wet and miserable day.
